The wordpress android app is decent. It receives share intents so any app with a share button can populate a post. It can also geotag posts using the gps in the device.

I’m running wordpress as a persistent fastcgi backend of nginx with an in-process sqlite db instead of a separate sql server which I hope will require less care and feeding. Next steps: install plugins to spam twtr and accept federated logins from goog, etc.
